I'll be going to Los Angeles soon...

That undoubtedly means one thing - copious intake of In-N-Out Burgers. If you haven't tasted these iconic burgers and fries or worse yet, haven't heard of them, then what you don't know is hurting you. In-N-Out may be the best darn burger and fries available in the U.S. of A., maybe anywhere. If you happen to be in California, Nevada or Arizona then locate the nearest one and make a mad dash that way. You deserve it.

I will be staying at the Westin Bonaventure located right at the center of Down Town Los Angeles, CA. There in the heart of the business district 4 interconnecting glass towers of some 50+ floors stands high one of the most recognized and filmed hotels in California. And at $150 night it's a steal. You get some of the best panoramic views of the bustling city, the best bedding money can buy, and best bathroom amenities available. One whole wall is a floor to ceiling window. The king sized bed, adorned with 250ct thread sheets and goose down pillows and comforters, takes up most of the bedroom, but not uncomfortably so. Once you're done basking in the glory of your fit-for-a-king room, make it out to the center of the hotel. The sun will be shining in from the glass ceiling some 20 more stories above. As you look out across the enclosed opening in between all 4 towers you see exercise machines on individual floating balconies. A revolving lounge. Little stores and shops littered throughout this little city inside of a city. Feeling like a swim? Take a ride up to the 30th floor or so and it takes you to the heated rooftop swimming pool that overlooks Los Angeles. Did I mention they have intense water art complete with waterfalls and spitting dolphin statues downstairs in the lobby? This place is fantastic.

We will be taking a tour of Paramount Studios. Big hopes to see a movie being filmed. We will drive around the area near the studio to see Rodeo Dr, Melrose Ave, the Hollywood walk of fame and the Hollywood sign. Venice Beach, Manhattan Beach amd maybe Huntington Beach. We also plan on going to a club or two out there and eating some of the delicious food, besides I-N-O.

Any readers have ideas of some the happening places in Los Angeles for some 20 something hipsters? (What the heck is a hipster? Not a hipster) We like to dance to house music and we like great food and are willing to pay for it.

Anyone heard of Elevate Lounge? It's adjacent to Takami Restaurant. I've been thinking about heading there. There's house music, pretty big dance floor, drinks and ladies. That pretty much covers it right?

What's funny is that I have been and lived in a LOT of places, but never done California. I mean I've been through LAX, but never seen the rest of the state.

Have a great trip and sell me on it because what I see on TV isn't doing it so far.

Alice Really? You've never been? Well, it's true what they say about California sunshine, it shines differently than anywhere else I've been in the U.S. If sunshine isn't enough the beaches are warm as opposed to east coast beaches. Beaches not enough? In-N-Out, they have I-N-O, plus all of your favorite movies comes from there. It's definitely worth a visit. Go to Huntington Beach. It's a surfing town, or used to be. And it has the longest municipal concrete pier in the U.S. with the iconic and world famous Ruby's on the end of it. It's a great and fun little town.

JK Well howdy stranger! Nice of you to stop by. Ok, definitely not a hipster.

classy & fabulous Ok, you're welcome to, Please do! In-N-Out is absolutely delectable. Yeah the hotels shot up to $250 in like 2 days after I reserved them. Even the tickets to fly from NY was $149 in and $149 out so we are making out like bandits. California sunshine seeking bandits.

(thank you for the comment on my blog! I ventured here to see what you've got going on & as soon as I saw In & Out, my mouth started weatering.)

I live near LA, but unfortunately, I don't get out much so I couldn't recommend any "hot spots" for "hipsters." Although... I've been tempted to venture out to some clubs; I miss those, a little.

& In & Out is my haven. My husband & I have their grilled cheeses at least 5 times a month. :] If you've never tried their grilled cheese, you must! We're vegetarian, so naturally, this is the best way to still eat their tantalizing food without eating a cow.

apricot tea: There you have it, a first hand account of INO fandom. :) I've never had the grilled cheese but have heard how awesome it is, I've also heard about a veggie sandwich. So, if you are a vegetarian, but you eat dairy doesn't that make you an ovo-vegetarian? Certainly not vegan right? My mouth waters every time I hear, say or see INO too. haha. It's magic. Thanks for coming by my blog, much appreciated. No tips for the night life huh? Well you and your hubby should come out to Elevate with us, theirs 4 if us: Guy, Girl, Guy, Girl. It'd be nice to meet new people. In fact if you go to my Memorial day post you'll see the ones coming. :)

Angela: I'm surprised you didn't say anything about INO being a native. (Okay, I'm done talking about it.) I'm actually a native of Cali myself. I was born in San Diego and go back to SoCal probably once every 2 years all said. Plus I stayed at the Bonaventure before, those are user reviews you read there!

I was just in LA a couple weeks ago and I agree... if you're in California, you HAVE to go to In N Out. I think I've blogged about the importance of that at least twice. Haha

And if we would have heard about that hotel, my girlfriends and I definitely would have stayed there. It sounds like a really good deal. Unfortunately, we couldn't find a non-sketchy hotel in LA for less than $150/night when we were booking hotels so we decided to just spend a day there and drive to Anaheim for the night.

Anyway, have fun =)

I just want to say that in-N-out burger is possibly, the best burger ever made.
